A true pioneer of UK club culture, Gilles Peterson arrives at Bristol Spiegeltent on Friday 28 November for a rare Bristol appearance.
For more than four decades, Gilles has been at the forefront of musical discovery, connecting the dots between jazz, soul, house, broken beat, Afro, Latin and global sounds with an unmistakable style all his own. From his formative years on pirate radio to his influential broadcasts on BBC Radio 6 Music and the creation of Worldwide FM, his impact on contemporary music culture is immeasurable.
Under the banner of Gilles Peterson Presents, the evening will also showcase artists from his acclaimed Brownswood Recordings roster, with special guests to be announced. Long recognised as one of the industry’s most influential tastemakers, Gilles continues to champion emerging talent and groundbreaking sounds from across the globe.
