Nu Civilisation Orchestra: What’s Going On
We are really excited for this special evening in the Spiegeltent with Nu Civilisation Orchestra.
Join Nu Civilisation Orchestra for a powerful musical journey through Marvin Gaye’s iconic album What’s Going On.
Led by Musical Director Peter Edwards, the 23-piece orchestra draws on Gaye’s extraordinary catalogue to explore the parallels between 1971 and today.
Released in 1971, What’s Going On gave voice to a generation, capturing the violence and social upheaval of its time with striking clarity. Widely regarded as one of the greatest albums ever made, its themes of inequality, struggle and uncertainty remain deeply relevant more than 50 years on.
The evening opens with a performance of Gaye’s seminal film score Trouble Man, setting the tone for an unforgettable live experience.
